PILATES EQUIPMENT GUIDE
Foldable Pilates Reformer: UK Storage & Delivery Guide
Measure your exercise space, storage space and delivery access before choosing a folding reformer. Use this checklist to compare models and request a quotation for your UK address.

Not sure which folding model fits?
Send your exercise space, storage space, quantity, delivery country and postcode. You can ask for model options before choosing a model code; confirm folded dimensions and handling instructions for the exact configuration.
When comparing a foldable reformer Pilates machine for a UK home, check three things first: the space it needs for exercise, its actual storage size and the route between those two places. Then confirm how the delivery will reach your property.
A spare bedroom, shared living room or compact studio can each create a different handling problem. Use measurements and a demonstration of the exact model to decide whether folding will work in your space.
Measure three spaces before shortlisting
- Exercise space: measure the room with nearby furniture in place and ask what clearance the model instructions require.
- Storage space: measure the height, width and depth available; do not infer folded dimensions from the open machine.
- Moving route: check doors, turns and steps between the exercise and storage positions. Ask about machine weight, lifting points and whether assistance is required.
A folding mechanism does not by itself establish that one person can move the machine or that upright storage is permitted. Ask for the model-specific instructions before deciding.
Keep Three Separate Measurement Records
Ask the supplier to label each set of measurements clearly. They answer different questions:
| Size | Details to confirm |
|---|---|
| Open | The complete assembled machine, including projecting parts, plus exercise-clearance instructions for the room. |
| Stored | The exact model in its approved storage position, with any parts removed first identified separately. |
| Packed | Dimensions and gross weight of each shipping package, for checking delivery access, stairs and lifts. |
Use a separate folded measurement for storage planning. A shipping crate can contain dismantled parts, so its size will not tell you how much room the machine needs after each session.
Measure the storage space at its narrowest point. Include cupboard doors, bed supports and projecting parts. For example, a folded frame may fit beside a wardrobe while the footbar prevents the wardrobe door from opening.
Check the route too: tight turns, thresholds and furniture can obstruct movement. Use the exact model's clearance instructions when planning exercise space, and confirm that the manufacturer permits your intended storage position.
Watch the Complete Folding and Moving Sequence
Request an uninterrupted demonstration of the selected model being set up, secured for exercise, folded and moved into storage. Follow what happens to the shoulder rests, ropes, pulley posts, footbar and accessories throughout the sequence.
Ask which parts must be removed, where they are stored and how the locks are checked before use. Have the supplier show the handling steps in the model's instructions.
Confirm net machine weight separately from rated user capacity. Watch whether part of the frame is lifted and whether assistance is required. Wheels can help with part of the journey; ask how the complete movement would work with your doorway or threshold.
Keep the model-specific setup and maintenance instructions. If a lock, hinge or attachment fails to engage correctly, stop and contact the supplier before using the machine.
Give the Accessories Their Own Storage Space
A box or jumpboard can need a separate home even when the reformer folds. Request an itemised accessory list and the dimensions of large removable items.
Plan where these will stay and how small removable parts will be kept together. Check whether the box blocks the route to storage, and ask before placing accessories on a folded machine. Follow the approved storage arrangement for the exact configuration.
Compare Folding With Your Everyday Use
If the equipment will stay in a dedicated room, compare a fixed reformer as well. If the room serves several purposes, consider how often you will fold and move the machine and whether that handling routine is practical.
Compare intended home or commercial use, rated user capacity, usable carriage travel, footbar adjustment and resistance settings. Ask how replacement springs, ropes, wheels and locking parts are identified and ordered, and request written warranty terms.
Two Folding Models to Discuss
These models are in the Atuspilates range. The measurements below are the product dimensions listed in the supplier quotation; request separate folded, storage and packing measurements for your selected configuration.
| Model | Wood | Size (mm) |
|---|---|---|
| HF002 | Maple | 2370 × 640 × 790 |
| HF003 | Oak | 2450 × 660 × 560 |
Confirm the folding sequence, permitted storage position, handling requirements and included accessories before choosing between them. The quotation does not provide verified folded dimensions for these models.
Confirm Delivery to Your UK Postcode
Provide your postcode and explain any stairs, lift restrictions, narrow entrances or access limits. Ask whether delivery ends at the kerbside, property entrance or another agreed point.
Confirm carrying upstairs, unpacking, packaging removal and assembly separately. These services need to be expressly included if you require them.
Atuspilates can offer DDP to most countries, including export and import customs clearance, import duties and door delivery within the confirmed quotation scope. Availability and the delivery arrangements for your particular address are confirmed in the quotation. EXW, FOB, CNF and FCA terms are also available.
Before paying, check that the written quotation identifies the model, configuration, accessories, packaging, delivery terms and any work required on arrival.
Send a Clear Folding Reformer Enquiry
You can enquire while still comparing models. Include:
- Delivery: country, UK postcode and access restrictions.
- Intended use: home or studio, and number of machines.
- Space: available exercise area, storage area and the narrowest access points.
- Storage: your preferred position, subject to the model's instructions.
- Configuration: accessories needed and any user-fit questions.
Send these details through our quotation form. Ask us to confirm the model specifications, outstanding storage measurements and delivery scope for your address.
Quick Questions Before Ordering
Can I order one reformer?
Yes. Atuspilates has no minimum order. Single units, samples and mixed-model orders are welcome; the configuration and delivery terms are confirmed in your quotation.
Can a folding reformer be stored upright or under a bed?
Confirm the approved storage position and actual folded dimensions for the exact model. Ask the supplier to demonstrate the proposed arrangement before you rely on it.
